The Ambassador of Ghana to the Kingdom of Spain today received the Ghanaian writer, entrepreneur, and philanthropist, Ousman Umar, at the Embassy of Ghana in Madrid during a courtesy call.
During the meeting, Mr. Umar briefed the Ambassador on the activities and impact of his non-governmental organization, Feeding Minds, which is dedicated to supporting education and empowering young people in Ghana through technology and digital skills training initiatives. Through the project, many young people in Ghana have benefited from educational support and opportunities aimed at improving their future prospects.
The Ambassador and Mr. Umar also exchanged views on possible areas of collaboration between the Embassy and Mr. Umar, particularly with regard to promoting the welfare and well-being of Ghanaians living in Spain.
Discussions further touched on the film based on Mr. Umar’s inspiring life journey, which recently premiered in Barcelona and is expected to premiere in Madrid soon, as well as subsequently in Ghana. The movie chronicles his remarkable story of perseverance, migration, and eventual success and continues to inspire many people, especially young Africans.
The Ambassador commended Mr. Umar for his achievements and philanthropic efforts and expressed appreciation for his continued commitment to supporting young people in Ghana and contributing positively to the Ghanaian community in Spain.
