The Ambassador of Ghana to the Kingdom of Spain and Permanent Representative of Ghana to UN Tourism, H.E. Kulsoume Sinare Baffoe, participated in the 126th Session of the Executive Council of the United Nations Tourism Organization in Toledo, Spain, from 10th to 11th June, 2026.
H.E. welcomed the vision presented by the newly elected Secretary-General of UN Tourism, H.E. Shaikha Al Nowais.
Speaking on behalf of Ghana, Ambassador Baffoe congratulated the Secretary-General on her appointment and expressed confidence in her leadership. As a member of the UN Tourism Executive Council for the 2023–2027 term, Ghana reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the Organization’s efforts to promote sustainable and inclusive tourism development worldwide.
The Ambassador further called for greater attention to Africa’s tourism sector, highlighting the need for increased investment, connectivity, capacity-building, and destination promotion. She assured the Secretary-General of Ghana’s full support and cooperation as UN Tourism continues to advance global tourism development.
