H.E. Regina Appiah-Sam held a meeting with senior officials of GB Foods, a leading Spanish multinational with its Sub-Saharan Africa headquarters located in Accra since 2017.

The discussions focused on GB Foods’ expansion plans in Ghana, particularly:

• The development of a 6,000-acre tomato plantation project, designed to reduce imports, create jobs, and support farmer cooperatives;
• Transfer of technology and modern agricultural practices to Ghanaian farmers;
• Opportunities for Ghanaian officials to undertake site visits to GB Foods’ Barcelona headquarters and tomato plantations in Extremadura.

The Ambassador welcomed the company’s initiatives, emphasising that they are aligned with Ghana’s agricultural and industrialisation agenda, and assured GB Foods of the Embassy’s continued support.
