Her Excellency Regina Appiah Sam, Ambassador of the Republic of Ghana to the Kingdom of Spain, visit to Qatro Rayas winery, Valladolid
As part of her ongoing efforts to promote Ghanaian products and foster trade relations between Ghana and Spain, Her Excellency Appiah-Sam, Ghana’s Ambassador to Spain, paid a working visit to Mr. Enrique R. Miravalles, Mayor of Valladolid. The visit formed part of the Embassy’s broader strategy to identify new market opportunities for Ghanaian products, explore business partnerships, and promote bilateral trade and investment between Ghana and Spain.
Following this, she visited the Quatro Rayas Winery in Valladolid, one of Spain’s leading wine producer cooperatives. H.E. Appiah-Sam held discussions with the management of the winery on potential areas of collaboration, including agro-processing, trade exchanges, and technology transfer in the agricultural value chain.
During her visit, the Ambassador highlighted Ghana’s strong agricultural base and the government’s ongoing initiatives to support agribusiness, particularly in the areas of fruit processing, cocoa, shea, and tropical exports. The visit concluded with a tour of the winery's production facilities and discussions on future engagement.
She took the opportunity to visit Maxi Industrias, an engineering company that specialises in designing, manufacturing and assembling of machines and equipment for automobile, aerospace and food industries, providing turnkey solutions to its clients. The Ambassador initiated to explore ways of securing internship opportunities for Ghanaian engineering and robotic students.
