High-Level Meeting in Barcelona and Strategic Industry Engagement

The Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E. Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, the Honourable Minister for Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, and H.E. Ambassador Kulsoume Sinare Baffoe held a strategic meeting with GB Foods, a subsidiary of Agrolimen, reaffirming Ghana’s longstanding relationship with Spain and Ghana Government’s commitment to strengthening mutually beneficial partnerships.

Discussions focused on opportunities within the tomato value chain, aligned with Ghana Government’s broader agenda to promote agro-processing, value addition, and job creation. Emphasis was placed on integrating Ghanaian tomato farmers into the value chain to ensure sustainable livelihoods, boost local production, and reduce import dependence.

Government remains committed to fostering an enabling environment for investment and deepening cooperation. These engagements form part of ongoing efforts to leverage strategic partnerships to drive industrial growth and advance Ghana’s economic transformation agenda.
